CASE STUDY: Solar Panel Removal and Reinstallation in Bayswater
Roof repairs are difficult enough without a solar array sitting in the middle of the work area.

The Job
The customer had an existing 20 panel solar system installed across the section of roof that required major repair work.
Trying to complete extensive roofing repairs around an existing solar array would have made the job far more difficult and would have restricted access to large sections of the roof. The panels needed to be removed before the roofing contractor could properly inspect, access and repair the affected areas.
Our service partner did not need to coordinate the removal themselves or spend time finding a suitable solar contractor for their customer. They simply introduced Solar Rescue and we dealt directly with the homeowner from that point.
We arranged access, discussed the process with the customer and coordinated the panel removal around the roofing schedule.
Removing the 20 Panel Solar Array
Solar Rescue attended the Bayswater property before the roof repairs commenced and safely removed all 20 solar panels from the roof.
The existing array was carefully dismantled so that the system could later be returned to its original position. This is an important part of the process, particularly where the customer is happy with the existing panel layout and there is no reason to alter the design.
Once the solar equipment had been removed, the roof was clear and ready for our service partner to begin their work.

With the solar array out of the way, our service partner was able to carry out the extensive roof repairs their customer required.

Returning to Reinstall the Solar Panels
Once the roof repairs had been completed, Solar Rescue returned to the Bayswater property to reinstall the 20 panel array.
The panels were returned to the same location they had occupied before the roofing works began. Keeping the original layout meant the homeowner retained the existing appearance and configuration of their system without unnecessary changes to the array.
The system was then reassembled and returned to service once the required checks had been completed.
From the customer’s point of view, the roof repairs and solar work felt like parts of the same organised project rather than two completely separate jobs that they had to coordinate themselves.

They were able to give their customer our details knowing that we would take it from there.
We contacted the homeowner, organised the solar removal, coordinated around the roofing schedule and returned after the repairs to reinstall the system.
This approach means our service partners do not need to repeatedly contact customers on our behalf, chase solar contractors for dates or try to answer technical questions about solar equipment that sits outside their own area of work.
They provide the roofing service. We manage the solar component.
